Glass and fiber have numerous connotations. Here, I bend, twist and recontextualize words we commonly associate with glass (breakable, transparent, clear, fragile, delicate) and embroidery (domestic, spinsterish, traditional, conservative, quaint, women’s work, grandmotherly, old) to reveal our assumptions about each other based on race, age, ethnicity, country of origin, native language.
