Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation’s robust arts education programming brings hands-on art making into schools throughout NYC and in Jersey City. Each year has an overarching theme, and each semester culminates in a professionally curated and installed exhibition of student work: Students experience the full cycle from conception of an artwork, rough drafts and sketches, process and multi-week steps to complete art, an a final installation and celebration. Select students serve as docents, greeting public visitors who visit the Rush Gallery in each partnering public school.
